Experimental Animation Tests

While I was finishing up my MFA at the California Institute of the Arts, I had the privilage to have the best courses in classical animation but it was the experimental classes that rocked my world. Jules Engles was my mentor along with Vibeka Sorensen, Christine Panushka and Ed Emshwiller. These were a handful of  tests I made that include hand-drawn 2D animation, painting on glass, computer animation, painting on film, and claymation.  I even got to do a 2D computer animation on a Macintosh in 1990….. that’s old but the fundamentals are still true.
